Store Management
Vodafone M-PESA Agent Store Management
In order to keep providing an efficient service for your customers,
you need to maintain healthy levels of both float and cash. One way
of doing this is to deposit and withdraw cash at another
agent. These functions are only available on a second M-PESA
SIM that is available if required on request.
Business Cash Deposit
Only a Primary Assistant can deposit cash at another agent.First of
all you need to identify another agent who is willing to take the
cash deposit. The agent that will accept the cash deposit will
receive commission from M-PESA in the same way they would do if a
customer were making a cash deposit at the agent. Once this agent
(the "Assisting Agent") has been identified, the Primary Assistant
of the "Requesting Agent" must do the following:
- Visit the Assisting Agent, taking one of your own agent tills
with you
- The Assisting Agent will choose 'Business Cash Deposit'from
their handset menu, asking you as the Requesting Agent to provide
them with the till number of the till you have brought with you and
the amount of cash being deposited.
- Once the transaction is complete, both parties will receive a
confirmation SMS with the same receipt numbers
- Fill in the relevant details in the Agent Log book
- The Assisting Agent will receive commission for performing this
transaction, whereas you, as the Requesting Agent, will pay
commission for this transaction.
Increasing your float after performing a Cash
Deposit
Once you have deposited cash at an agent you will be able to move
the value you have received into your float account by performing
the following transaction:
- Select "Move Money"
- Then choose "From Working"
- Select "To Float"
- Then enter the amount of money to transfer
- Enter the Assistant ID (Asst ID on the handset)
- Type in your PIN
A message will then appear on the screen, displaying all the
data that was entered and asking for confirmation. Please ensure
that all the details are correct before proceeding. Once you are
satisfied that all the details are correct, press OK.

of all you need to identify another agent who is willing to perform
a withdrawal. Once this agent (the "Assisting Agent") has been
