This section provides information on various Agent Services and M-PESA menu functions.

Key services provided by M-PESA Agents are:

  • Register customers
  • Receive deposits from customers
  • Give cash (withdrawals) to customers

 
The M-PESA Agent / Store Assistant also assists customers with use of the service. To be able to assist a customer, the M-PESA Store Assistant must have:
 

  • An Agent Till (handset) and M-PESA SIM loaded with the M-PESA application on it.
  • Primary Assistants who can register and remove a new Store Assistant
  • Other Store Assistants who can use the M-PESA phone
  • Customer registration form
  • Suspicious activity reporting form
  • Logbook for recording all transactions
