A Vodacom M-PESA Agent is a retailer who has been appointed by Vodacom as an authorised provider of M-PESA services. M-PESA agents earn attractive connection incentives and commissions offered by Vodacom.

A typical M-PESA Agent would be:

• Vodacom dealers, operating one or more outlets around Tanzania
• Other retailers with a substantial distribution network, such as banks, petrol stations / super markets etc.

Once you have become an Agent your retail outlets will be provided with an M-PESA phone which can do the following transactions:

• Register Vodacom customers as M-PESA users
• Receive deposits from registered M-PESA users
• Give cash (withdrawals) to customers
