Who we are
Vodacom Foundation
Vodacom is Tanzania's leading cellular network and with our
success comes the responsibility of giving back to our society in a
meaningful and sustainable fashion.
The Vodacom Foundation was created in July, 2006, for this purpose.
the Foundation focuses Vodacom's corporate social investment
efforts with the aim of improving the lives of
Tanzanians through poverty alleviation and promoting economic
development.
The Foundation looks at 4 key areas,
namely, Education, Health, Economic empowerment and social
welfare which are in line with Tanzania's National development
prioroties.
To date the Foundation has carried out over 70 projects in 17
regions of the entire country. these projectshave reached and
directly impacted the lives of over thousands of Tanzanian's from
an array of backgrounds.
MISSION
The Vodacom Foundation's key mission is to enrich the lives of
communities in Tanzania through caring partnerships.The
foundation supports Tanzanians especially the disadvantaged and
marginalized groups with the aim of helping them to build better
lives for themselves through poverty alleviation schemes and
programs.
OBJECTIVES
- To improve access to education for children especially those in
the poorest communities.
- To contribute to health challenges faced in Tanzania by
providing relevant infrustructure where we can.
- To facilitate economic empowerment of Tanzanians.
