VodaHeroes

Voda Heroes is a program that allows all Vodacom Tanzania staff to participate fully in the works of Vodacom Foundation.

This is part of the company's initiative to have more and more employees caring for the less privileged by being fully involved in the activities of Vodacom Foundation.

The participation of members of staff is either through financial or moral support to the activities of Vodacom Foundation in a continuous and sustainable manner but it is not necessarily confined to that.

After the launch of Voda Heroes in early December 2009, Vodacom Tanzania staff visited and donated gifts to various orphanages and children living in difficult conditions in the country to maintain the spirit of giving back to the community, especially during the festive season.  

During the launch of the program there were 55 members of staff who had already registered themselves as Voda Heroes and the registration continues indefinitely.

Voda Heroes were hailed for showing heart by simply registering to be part of the Foundation's efforts in making a whole world of difference by giving back to the community. And they have nothing to lose, really, but the world to give to!
