The BlackBerry App World Storefront is a wireless application
store that is available on all BlackBerry smartphones. It is
designed to allow you to discover new items, download free and
trial items and purchase items using a PayPal® account. You can use
the BlackBerry App World Storefront to rate and share items with
other BlackBerry users. Feature downloads include games, utilities
applications, productivity applications and themes.
How do I get this service?
BlackBerry App World can be installed using one of the following
methods:
You can download from www.mobile.blackberry.com or www.blackberry.com
Virtual preload from the wireless service provider.
Download from Application Centre.
When BlackBerry App World has been installed, the App World icon
appears on the Home screen of the BlackBerry device if you have
BlackBerry® Device Software version 4.6 or earlier and in the
Downloads folder for BlackBerry Device Software version 4.2 and
later.
Finding your way around Blackberry App World
BlackBerry users can browse and search for items by using the
following search options:
Browse featured items.
Select categories to browse for items by category (for example
games, themes or instant Messaging).
Select Top Free to browse the catalogue of most popular free
items.
Select Top Paid to browse the catalogue of most popular paid
items.
Select Search to search for items by application name, vendor
name or item description.
