In keeping with our commitment towards raising HIV/AIDS awareness, Vodacom Tanzania is proud to sponsor Tanzania�s first national AIDS Helpline Centre, in collaboration with the Tanzania Youth Aware Trust Fund (TAYOA).

The TAYOA toll-free AIDS Helpline 0754-800448 was officially opened to the general public on Jan 30, 2004. Vodacom Tanzania subscribers will not be charged for calls made to the Helpline number, as we would like to encourage our subscribers to use the service and build their knowledge about HIV/AIDS.

The aim of the AIDS Helpline is to save lives. Volunteers and the Helpline Centre provide one on one counselling in both English and Kiswahili, as well as provide information to callers.All calls are confidential and callers do not need to disclose their identity as it is a private and sensitive health issue.
TAYOA - Tanzania Youth Aware Trust Fund is a registered non-profit organisation that provides counselling and information on HIV/AIDS, entrepreneurship and civic/human rights education for young people in Tanzania.
