Cheka Time Phase V FAQ's
What is Cheka Time?
It is a service from Vodacom that allows VTL customers to
purchase calling minutes and SMS. The purchased minutes and sms can
be used from (02:00am - 4.59 pm Band A) and (10:00pm: -01:59am Time
Band B) Monday to Sundays.Purchased Cheka SMS bundles can be used
24 hours a day and are applicable for national SMS only.
Is this service available to all
Vodacom customers?
No. This service is available to only Prepaid and Vodajaza
customers.

How do I check my Cheka time balance minutes/

By dialing *147# then
pressing ok
Can I use my Cheka time minutes to call other
national mobile network?
No, Cheka Time minutes can be used to make on net calls only
(Vodacom to Vodacom). Other calls made during Cheka Time duration
will be charged as per standard tariffs and IN account air time
will be used.
Will Cheka time tariff apply to Vodajamaa
numbers?
No, Cheka time tariff will not apply to Vodajamaa numbers
Can I make calls with 0.00 Tsh balance if I have
purchased Cheka minutes?
No, you need to have a balance of at least 1Tsh in your IN
account for you to process a call
Will Cheka Time apply when customers call from foreign
networks (outbound roaming)?
Cheka time will not apply for Vodacom customers making calls
from foreign networks
